K-Rated transformers are suitable for non-linear loads with high harmonics. The Zig Zag construction is designed to nullify harmonic current. High insulating materials and special shielding techniques are credited for the common mode and minimizing transverse mode noise. The magnetic properties of the core allow enough leakage inductance for normal mode power line noise, which is in synch with the transfer of fundamental power frequencies. All higher frequencies beyond this point are blocked. Unique box shielding techniques are used to block the transfer of electric noise. The shield for Natural Harmonic Current and connected equipment ensures protection against electrical noise, spikes, surges, etc as well as strong lightning, impulse noise, bus short circuit or accidental discharge of capacitors
